Question for Pokemon Emerald

I was wondering whether people liked Typhlosion, Ninetales, Flareon or Arcanine better as a fire-type pokemon. I needed one to use, so if you can give me your opinions that'll be great. I don't really like or want to use the other fire types.

And do you know whether you can trade between Fire Red/leaf Green and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald without first getting the National-dex on both?

I really like Typhlosion way better. He learns a lot of cool fire attacks that Flareon, Ninetales and Arcanine could not use because they evolve thanks to evolution stones. As for the second part, for Ruby and Sapphire, if you traded a Kanto Pokemon from FR/LG to R/S, you can't trade it to Emerald without getting the National Pokedex first. For FR/LG to Emerald, you must fix the network machine on Fire Red or Leaf Green and get the national dex. On emerald you just gotta get the national dex.

Typhlosion and yes you can trade between FR/LG and E/S/R

en_ryu answered:

Hmmm, I see. Only thing is that I have to beat Pokemon Colosseum again to get Quilava, which I can probably do, but it takes ages and it's boring...
I think I'll end up using Arcanine because I want a physical sweeper. I can use overheat then, yay...

And thanks for the stuff about trading. I realised that you only need a National-dex on Fire red/leaf green. If you trade a Kanto Pokemon over to R/S/E, you automatically get a national-dex on your R/S/E.

Typhlosion for sure.!!!! He can learn a lot more attacks that the other pokemon.
