You can find shards along the sea and turn them in to the Shard Hunter off the coast of Lilycove City for a Stone of the respective colour. There is also a Fire Stone on Fiery Path, a Thunderstone in New Mauville, a Leaf Stone on Route 119 near the southern waterfall, and a Water Stone on board the Abandoned Ship.
To get them you need to get coloured shards.
There under water and whatever colour you get is the same type stone.
For example-red shard=fire stone.
Once you have a shard, trade it with the man in the house north east of mossdeep city.
You go to the water outside the city where you find the sixth gym is. Then when you have dive, go to spots where you can dive and follow the path, go up and there should be an item, it should be a shard. Go back. Go to that house on a small island. Trade the shard for the stones with the guy inside.
I don't think you can get them in this game,if so it would be in a store/market.
Well, you can find shards at the bottom of the ocean which you can trade for a stone near Mossdeep. You find the fire stone in the cave thing near lavaridge and Watson gives you one or you find one in new mauville or whatever you call it after you have turned off the power generator.
You need to get the Green, Yellow, Red and Blue shard(s) to trade them to a guy who gives you there matches.
