You put the gameshark cartridge in your GBA, then enter the codes you wish to use.

Put the gameshark into the gameslot of the GBA put the game into the slot of the gameshark then select the game you are playing and turn the codes you want on then press start

The same way you use an AR. Put the codes in for the game, and check the ones you want to activate.

You place it in your GBA, then you stick the game in the provided space on the gameshark, then you get codes off the net and add them to your gameshark.
