How do I get the light balll?
I need it so pichu can learn volt tackle.

You can find the light ball on wild pikachu.

On very rare occasions, some Pikachu in the Safari Zone hold one. If you're lucky enough to run into one and catch it and it just so happens to hold a light ball, then you'd be very fortunate. But, it does happen. Just be patient.

The light ball? You get that if you trade the Pikachu you start with from the Yellow version to a Gold or Silver version. And it is supposed to double Pikachu's stat growth. You can get a light ball in the Ruby and Sapphire?
