Strategy answered:
Pok�rus is a useful virus that helps training Pok�mon. To get it, battle a LOT of Pok�mon, then go to Nurse Joy in a Pok�mon center and she will tell you if you have it. If not, battle some more. There'll also be a dot in the infected Pok�mon's Status Screens.

Pokerus is a status effect like burn or sleep except you have a 1/8149 chance in getting it. This status ailment is like the flu in your family except it goes through your whole Pokemon party. While your Pokemon has it, it will gain double experience, double stat increasing and it goes away very fast. To keep the virus, keep one of the infected Pokemon in the PC. Be careful because it doesn't spread in the PC.

Pokerus is a virus. A good virus that raises the stats of the Pokemon who has it. It spreads, like any other disease, onto the team. You can find it in wild pokemon.
