You use mystery gift at a Pokemon Rocks America event at a wonderspot to get the tickets to get lati@s, Lugia, ho-oh, and deoxys

Mystery Gift... Well, if you go down to a Nintendo Event and choose an item (e.g. Tickets, Pokemon, etc), you automatically get that item you chose. Or, if you link with a friend, you get a random item- sometimes it's rare. Other times, it's quite common, like a potion! But, to obtain the item, whatever it is, you have to go to the second floor of any Pokemon center and talk to the guy that wasn't originally there. He'll give it to you. Rate this answer.

It is supposed to give you the tickets to island 8 and 9 but it does not work just to tell you if you try to get the tickets that way.

For mystery gift you have to have a: Friend(1) Wireless adapter(2 one for you one for your friend) Gameboy advance(sp or reg.
Yours and your friends) Game pak (2 your emarald his/her emerald) and all mystery gift does is give you a random gift..

It is to get random event Pokemon or items but when you go to nintendo events you get rare tickets
