Question for Pokemon Emerald

Some guy in the battle frontier says "I I saw it ! There was a sticky sort of a Pokemon with a long tail up ahead! It was hiding under a boulder, and it kept startleing me!

He means that he saw a smergle in the cave above the ledge in front of him.you can get in the cave by going near the palace (it is at the bottom).There you will see a man who will tell that he saw a wierd tree in front (sudo woodo).Go further down you will see a sudo woodo use wailmer pail on it ,it will attack you (it is at lv40).After it is out of the way use surf and go to the left keep going further and you will see a cave go in and you will find only smergles.

It's a smeargle. Where you find that sudowoodo water it, and follow the river down the waterfall until you get to the cave, go in and this cave has only smeargle!
