Okay, at the top of your VBA browser, there is a drop-down list called "Cheats". Click on that, then click on "Cheat List..." A box will pop up, and at the bottom there will be a couple of buttons--"Code..." "Cheat..." "Gameshark..." "CodeBreaker..."
Depending on the type of cheat, you can click on one of those. Cheats in the format "000D4DD5 EBC33F52" or similar are either Gameshark or Codebreaker and Code cheats would be in the format "000D4DD5:EBC33F52".
The "Cheat..." button should be used when you have a specific cheat and you have used the "Search for cheats" button in the "Cheats" drop down menu mentioned earlier.
