Well first and foremost you need either a link cable or the wireless adapter that comes with pkmn Firered and Leafgreen. (It may be that you can only use the Wireless adapter) If you got that, hook up and go to the Pokemon center's upstairs and talk to Either the far right or middle receptionist. The middle receptionist is for Wireless Adaptors only and allows you to pick and choose from anybody else in the room to fight/trade/talk/mix records with. The Right receptionist deals with the Direct corner, for the cable and adaptor. You choose your friend(s) to battle, trade, etc. Then go into it. Simple as that
