Berries that will not grow

Berries that will not grow

As you can plainly see from the title I planted some berries and I watered them about 18 times and only three of them grew. One of them is growing, but it's growing very slowy and there is this one berry I planted a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago and it is still a seed. Why won't my berries grow?
Also one of those berries was a Spelon and I was wondering what you say to that old lady, the berry masters wife to get another one.
I don't know if this will help, but I'm putting it on here anyway. I planted all of them in the berry masters garden and that berry that took a long time was a Cheri berry and I planted it on the left side of the bottom middle path of dirt. This is what it looked like 2 hours after I planted the seeds.
[ ]=dirt .=seed { }=noting there
[. ] [..] [..] Somebody please answer I have to know what's wrong
{Spelon } Thanks in advance amylover31

There is only so man berries a bush will hold (oddly enough) the limit is usually 3, not counting some berry bushes which is when it's 4. The reason you plant stuff and then come back after a while is because the push will eventually die (or something) and replant itself, with the berries that full.

The Codes for the Berry masters wife are as follows(taken directly from this website):
"SUPER HUSTLE:
You will receive a Belue Berry

COOL LATIOS:
You will receive a Durin Berry

GREAT BATTLE:
You will receive a Spelon Berry

OVERWHELMING LATIAS:
You will receive a Watmel Berry

CHALLENGE CONTEST:
You will receive a Pamtre Berry"

To make the berries grow faster go to the exit of petalburg forest and you will see a flower shop talk to the people in there and get the wailmer pail and water the berries they will grow faster.Hope this helps.

You might be experiencing the berry glitch if it's Ruby/saphire, or your internal battery died

Same for Emerald too
Volke answered:

Berries take forever to grow - long enough so that you will probably forget about them altogether by the time they need to take to grow. Its not really worth the trouble unless you're really into Pokmon Contests.

Just pick the berries from where they naturally grow and then never look back. The ones that heal your pokmon's status effects etc. Are in ample supply anyway.

It's definitely worth it for leppa berries as they can restore your PP. Helps especially during Elite Four.

It doesnt take game time it grows in real time, the beries usually take 2 real days to grow

kegan answered:

Some berries need more watering then others. The spelon berry actually grows better in rainy areas. It took about 2 hours for it to fully grow and I got 3 berries from it. Check the tags of the berries before planting them. They nowmally have hints on them to what the berry needs in order to grow. It doesn't matter where though. Any berry can grow in any place, but it will take a really long time if you plant a dry berry in a rainy area.

but how do you type it??????????
Guest answered:

at the berry masters wife, talk to her, and type "challenge complete" i did this without finding it on the computer (a.k.a. the hard way) and got a lum berry it works 110%

Guest answered:

Check to make sure if your game is a legit copy of Emerald and not a "Bootlegged" version. Berries don't grow in bootlegged versions of the game. Just type "How to check if Pokemon Emerald is Fake" into google. And more than likely, sorry about the Fake game :(

Guest answered:

Probably, those who have problems in growing berries are ROM users. It will really take forever and the berries will still not grow. BUT, I did this and it worked to grow berries.

1. Plant the berries. Water.
2. Save your game.
3. Change your computer clock. A day advance will grow your berry for a day. (For example, you can advance your clock 4 days ahead to grow a full cheri)
4. Get inside a house then save again.
5. Go back to the loamy soil and you'll see improvement with your berry.

* Make sure you have Real Time Clock checked.

I have tried this, it worked the first time but when I tried it again, it doesn't work
(I have Real Time Clock checked)

Guest answered:

I know I'm more than two years late, but I have the same problem.

I planted the same berry (Cherri) on the same spot (left side of the bottom middle field) and it just does not grow. It's been in the ground for years now. :/ Other berries grow fine, although there are two new ones which I have planted which do not seem to grow now either … :(

What a pity, it's hard enough to get berries in Gen III, all these glitches just make it impossible to get anything done properly. :'( If anyone knows the problem behind this or even better, knows a solution, please let me know.

Select Options>Emulator>Real Time Clock. Then restart your ROM - after booting, if it doesn't show something about the internal battery running dry, then you are good to go. Start a new game Smile
Guest answered:

Cheri berry grows in 3 hours for 1stage the total hours for it to grow is: 12 hours you should have plant a nanab it takes 4 hours to have it fully-grown :( I think you should water them contieously may be it's the playtime or the berry glitch...

Some berries require about 1-4 REAL DAYS to grow - you might've rushed the game and finished it before the seed's maturation time?
