Latios/Latias

After you beat the elite four one of them will just show up. And it depends on what color you selected wen you're mom asked you what color was that mysterious Pokemon on the news, red-latias blue-latios. I found mine in that patch of grass just before you reach lilycove. Hope this helps. O yea I would use a master ball because it will jus run away after you attack.

After you beat the elite four talk to your mom in front of the t.v. It will say that there was a Pokemon flying around she will ask you to identify the color say red for latias and blue for latios

Well, you cannot just get either Latias, or Latios to show up when ever you want. If you want to catch them, then you are going to have to beat the game. By beat the game, I mean that you will have to defeat the Elite Four. After you delete the Elite Four, you should be back in your house, so here is what you do. Leave your room and talk to your mom who will be in front of the Television. The television will say that a oddly colored Pokemon has been spotted moving around the Hoenn Region. Your mom will ask you what color they said the Pokemon was. If you say Red, then you will encounter Latias. If you tell her blue instead, then you will encounter the Pokemon Latios. Now that that has all been taken care of, you just need to go out into the wild and look for whatever Pokemon you chose. I suggest that you catch a Trapinch. I say this because if you use a Trapinch, then you can use his ability Arena Trap, which will make a Pokemon not be able to run in a battle.

Once you have beaten the elite four, you go back to your house, and when you go downstairs there will be a news report saying something about a very fast pokemon. You will be prompted with a box saying red or blue. This will decide which of the lati's you can catch in the wild (blue latios, red latias). After this you will be able to catch the selected lati somewhere in the wild, but it will be in a random place, and it moves around, much like the legendary dogs in g/s/c. To get the other one you will need an e-reader card, and get the eon ticket. Once you have this go to either slateport or lilycove and show it to the captain and he will take you to southern island where you can fight the other lati. On the island, go into the forest and talk to the egg and lati will come up.
