Is there any point in getting this game?
Is there any reason to buy the Emerald version if I already have Ruby and FireRed? I like the Pokemon designs in Emerald better, but that doesn't seem like much of a reason. Is there any point to getting the Emerald version if you already own R/S or FR/LG?

Yes, you should buy the Emerald because the story in Emerald is diferent than Ruby and Saphire.....And you'll have Bttle Frontier.....

I do not think that there really is a point. Yes, you can get all legendaries on Emerald, but that alone is not a good enough reason to buy what is pretty much the same game. The designs may be better, but you will forget about that soon enough, so I say that there is no reason, or use in getting Pokemon Emerald. But, in the end, it is your choice.

It totally depends on your viewpoint. If you're interested in being able to catch more pok�mon and visiting the Battle Frontier, then get Emerald. In Emerald, you can also catch both Groudon and Kyogre, as opposed to catching only Groudon in Ruby and Kyogre in Sappire. You're also up against both Team Magma and Tam Aqua. Having Fire Red or Leaf Green shouldn't really make an impact on whether you buy it or not. Personally, I enjoyed Emerald more than Ruby and Sapphire individually, but the choice is yours. Heed my advice to make your descision.

I suppose if you reaaaaaally want it, you should get it. But if you have Ruby and Sapphire, there isn't a huge reason to get emerald XP

Not if you want to. But in this game you can catch raquaza,groudin,and the other legendaries. I would suggest buying it.
