Question for Metriod Fusion

I just defeated the spider in the reactor core and I don't know how to get past the sa-x. Can you help ?

For starters you don't battel the sa-x you run from it until you reach a space where it can't get you

When you first drop down, freeze the sa-x and run throught the hatch. Drop a power bomb, and keep him frozen so he cannot shoot you. Run through the newly opened wall, and through the hatch. Continue to freeze him and open the folding walls. Run into the last room and behind that wall. Hide there until he goes away.
