Do I really have to S-rank ProtomanFZ to get his SP chip?

No you dont. You have 2 get a S rank on the Protoman battle in front of Lan's old house, but you gotta be far into the game.
Actually you have to do all the request on the request board then fight protoman/bluez.
You have to get a busting level s to get his sp chip. I know because I already got one.
Hey...mine was not,i've got a Protoman SP chip by just defeating him without getting me hit and the busting level was only 8.
In order to get the SP chip of Protoman (blues) or any other enemy navi, you just need to fight the SP version and defeat it with an "S" and not get hurt. Glad to help!!
Protoman sp in acdc town will give you the chip...but you must beat him in about 30 seconds without being damage..trust me..
