If you are having trouble, just play it safe. Jack Out and go buy some mini and full energies. IF you have any fear of getting hit by the fire blast, hide behind the cubes. Hit B to dash. Just doge basically.
Like what Blitzman said dodge but don't always jack out unless you are certain that you are going to lose.
