Question for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Protoman

I am the oran isle, after I trigger a cut scene I receive chaud's mail which I am supposed to read out of mayl's and yai's sight but on checking I found that the mail is not there in email menu! Maybe it could be a game glitch.. (I am playing this rom game on VBA) I wish to play it further is there any fix for this problem? I can't even succeed to jack into the speaker.. Cant play aanything further!!
Plz.. Plz...
