How do you get shield style and what is the best shield style to beat bass

Any shield style is good, I beat him with Aqua Shield. It'll be a while though. To take full advantage of this style, you'll need to bring it to its final level. You're better off getting chips that do 100 damage each. For example, Random Meter is an excellent chip for Bass and Alpha.
