Old Save and mini kit detector

2 Questions

1.) How do you get the piece needed to unlock the Old Save? I have both Lego Star Wars I and II on my saved disk but am unable to unlock and buy the Old Save Option.

2.) In the Great Pit of the CarKoon there when you get into the ship, go up the elevator there is a cage like door you can blow open. Inside there are 4 goons to kill. In this room at the top of the caged ramp there is a mini kit piece showing up with a green arrow as hidden.

I have all the mini kit pieces, is this a number 11 mini kit piece?
How do you make it become accessable?
Is the the missing piece for Old Save?
