What does a wild dog do? One came to my farm once and my dog chased it off, but what does it do?

If you leave any of your farm animals out after 8:00 pm, the wild dog will come and attack your farm animals. If you have a fence around your farm animals, it can't attack them though. It will possibly lower your animals hearts, or could maybe even kill them.
A wild dog will scare your animals, so it's good that you scared it away.
If you buy a ball from Won, your dog will chase the wild one away. And putting your animals inside a fence (unbroken) will keep the wild dog out.
