Be good friends with Ellen until she asks you to get a white flower for her, get the white flower then give her yarn, and she'll make you a sock! Hang it up on the sock hook on christmas eve (the 24th) and you'll get a present from the Mayor

Befriend Manna and then give her yarn and at the fall or winter I think, she will give you a sock and Thomas the mayor will award you...
