I'm not quite understanding about "missing" a heart event. Are you meaning that she's now at red and you haven't seen her earlier events...etc?
It won't lower her points at all... Just see each event as soon as possible so you can marry them if that's what you want!
You can't "miss" a heart event... I think what people mean by missing it is that they said the wrong thing during the heart event and therefore it didn't augment his affection for them. But as long as you know at what time and dates the heart events trigger, there should be no problem. As long as you have that color heart or higher. :D
