Here's a technique I've heard of and am currently trying out, but no promises yet;

Before you get married, get one of every piece of jewelry (Broach, Necklace, Bracelet, and whatever else), either through Saibara or the horse races.

Then get married, and when your wife gets pregnant, give her the jewelry at some point in the week before the birth (I'd advise that you give her one piece per day, since that makes the most sense), and when she gives birth, you'll have twins.

Mind you, I'm still not sure about this at all.
