I was wondering where do you get fishing rod????? I looked everywhere but I can't find it. Thanks for answering my 1st question.

Go to Zack's house, you need an empty slot to get the rod.
Just walk in on a sunny day some time during the week, just after Zach walks in to his hut. You need to have free hands and an empty tool slot, and you will see an event in which you get a fishing rod.
On your first few days of the game, you can get a free Fishing Pole. Go to Zack's house on Mineral Beach between 11:30 am and 4:30 pm.
Go to yens house on the beach and talk to the delivery dude and he'll give it to you.
