How do I get the Harvest Spirits to play with me or help me. I've received 2 hearts from the Yellow one, and one heart from the Purple one so far.

You need three hearts for them to do anything for you and you want to give them stuff when they are not working so that the hearts don't go down. (they finish early, but you need to talk and brush your animals everyday).
