How do you get past the fire crab? I've tried about 10 times and can't figure it out ... HELP!

Run in a circle to keep away from it and it's blows. Whenever it rises it's shell, use confundus on it. And when harry prompts you, press L and then use Aqua Eructo together to kill the FireCrab.
It doesn't work, I press L then B, Hermione and Ron just stand there. I can only shoot out Wingardium Liviosa!!! Help!!!
