Question for Golden Sun: The Lost Age

Hi every one I need some help I got all the parts for the trident but when I go to the blacksmith to get it forged it won't take it WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???? Do I need some other part to it or what please let me know A.S.A.P THANK YOU

You probably have not gone back to Alhafra to free the ship. After this Briggs escapes and flees to Champa. Fight a boss there and you will be able to forge the Trident.

When you free the ship at alhafra (blast the rock) the champa will take it. Follow them to champa, go up the tower, battle the salamander, then the granny will forge it for you.
