No, completely wrong game. The only thief you get is Colm, and you can also get a rogue (uber thief) named Rennac.

"Hunter" isn't a name, it's more a title, you can't get a thief named hunter any more then you can get a monster to turn blue and tell you it's name.

These people clearly don't play fire emblem enough to answer questions about it. When taking back Renais, a theif named hunter appears, and I also was stuck in the predicament, but he appears to have no items of value, simply his lockpicks. But if you have colm and rennac then you should be alright

I thought the thief's name was Hunter too (It sorta is). It turns out after a few more turns another thief(also named hunter appears) so their named after what their doing - hunting for treasure in an unstable kingdom they're not playable characters.
