Question for Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones

How is the best way to finish Dragon's Gate? Because, every time I try to do it one of my characters die or I don't get Legult and the Members Card.

Just bring all of your characters (leave your lords except for Eliwood and weak enemies behind to protect Merlinus) and team up on the boss and kill him. Note: Make sure that on your first turn you rescue Eliwood preferably with Marcus or any one that can move far and drop him somewhere near the boss but to where the boss can't reach him and when Legault comes around talk to him with Eliwood and he will join you.

I say first take out the archers with hectors hand axe or will and rebecca and send guy or lyn to take out the mini boss. Kill everyone and wait for legult to open the door.the talk to him with lyn or the main character eliwood/hector. Have him or matt steal the members card and send dart (if he's an ok character) or hector to kill the knight with the short spear to get it. Finally have hector kill darin. If he is to weak have him stand in front of Darin. Dont attack let darin attack him. (unless he can't survie one hit from darin) have him step out of his range after an attack and let serra or pricilla heal him and continue till he is dead
