Question for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

I turned marche into a blue mage and gave him the ability learning. Now how do I get him to learn a monster's ability or attack?

You have to be attacked by the monster with an ability.

The monster should attack you first so that you learn the ability.

You have to have lerning equiped and get hit by a specific attack by a monster
