How do you capture monsters?

Hold a and b and keep pressing r.

When do you press a & b and hold are in the battle? And if anyone has got a monter answer this question

Holding A+B+R doesnt do anything.

First, you need to get a hunter (HUMAN archer+ 2 A-abilites)
Then, you must equip a RANGER BOW to your hunter
Your hunter should now know Capture.

Steps to catch a monster
1) find a monster that is NOT a rock turtle, fairy, vampire, or zombie.
2) use any attack to WEAKEN it, KILLING THE MONSTER WILL NOT WORK!!!
3) Have your hunter get behind the monster, (you don't have to, but it work better that way.)
4) use Capture.
5)This may work. CAPTURE IS HORRIBLY INACCURATE!!! You may need to try a couple times.
6)After the monster is caught, you'll find a message that says "XXXX whatever soul found" That soul can be equipped to a morpher, (5 beastmaster abilites mastered for Nu mou)
HINT: You can NOT capture a monster if it is the last enemy player on the field!!!

To capture a monster you need to use a hunter.

Step 1: Attack a monster in any way, as long as you do not end up killing it; make sure it is at very low health.

Step 2: Make sure you have someone with the capture technique (I've done it with a fighter who mastered capture) and get within range.

Step 3: Use Capture. It has a very low hit rate (I've never seen it above 30%) so expect to have to try multiple times.

I once got a firewyrm on my first try though : )

Get a hunter and teach him capture.
