bleeding problem

I'm at the part where you're at tierm working for angela and I trained so that my magic lvl was 21 so I could get all speels in tierm except for the one by angela so eragon is lvl 39 and brom is lvl 40 and the problem is, whenever I use melee for either brom or eragon, they start bleeding even though the enemy hasnt used the thing that makes enemys bleed. How can this happen????? Has my lvl gone to high for this part of the game????? Wat?!?!?!?!?!? I can't figure out so I'm hoping I can get help via this site.

Well, there are only 2 reasons that I can think this would happen. One- your weapon has a negative effect on it. Check over the weapons that Brom and Eragon are using in the weapon screen and see what bonuses they have. If sacrifice is one of them then you need to switch to a different weapon. If it isn't then you need to go to option two-create a new file. Good Luck!
