Press "start" and press "a" and you will be able to select the stats you wanna upgrade by pressing "down and up" and "left and right" to determine how many points to use then simply press a to use the selected number of points in on the selected stat.
To use them press start then a then use up and down to select the stat to upgrade the left and right to determine how many points to use. Have fun
