Alternative characters in the game

Hello. I have seen some codes for alternative characters.

You can play as Diego,Alicia,Boots and the baby jaguar,too.
I found these codes for them.
Alicia - Beat the game as Diego three times
Baby Jaguar - Beat the game as Boots three times
Boots Beat - the game as Alicia three times
Diego Beat - the game as Dora three times

I tried to unlock Diego by playing with Dora 3 times,but nothing happened. Dora was the character again and not Diego. In which version( (E)= European, (U)=USA or in (U)[b]= USA beta) does these codes work?
And by the way how can I select Diego and the others?

Please answer, it's important.
