Question for Donkey Kong Country 3

How do I get past the spider in arich's ambush? I don't understand how to get rid of it and move on...

Well first you have to wait until he's low enough that you can jump on him with Dixie and he will carry you to the top.Then you pick up the barrel and walk off the ledge.After that while your still holding the barrel you run under his face and let him fall into it twice.Then he will start shooting crap at you.You don't have to grab the barrel and do the same thing like 6 more times.Hope I helped. Can we also so with kiddy or we also have to stay on the upper ledge?
