Ok, this is my first time doing this, so here it goes: After you get the sapphire from that team rocket guy, you can trade from Kanto to Hoenn. But, to actually trade between them, you need to have both people in the ruby/sapphire and in leafgreen/firered upstairs to trade. I am really only putting this because I got confused with the really big machine on the first floor. Good luck to those who need it!
