Great Pokemon and Not-So-Great Pokemon

Added:

Alrighty, I'm going to tell you guys which Pokemon are Great... And which Pokemon are Not-So-Great. I will rank Pokemon with "A" being the highest and "F" being the lowest.

STARTER POKEMON:

"D" Chickorita: When fighting the first couple bosses, they are all Flying type, so Chickorita is obviously not a good Pokemon to start with. She makes a good partner though.

"A" Cubone: Talk about amazing! He has super-effective hits against many of the first bosses, plus his moves come with lots and lots of PP, which is useful for Linking!

"B" Squirtile: Very good defensive tactics, new players to these types of games should DEFINATLY choose Squirtle. Also, if you get a Fire Pokemon to go with him, you got one mean-looking (excuse the pun) "sandwhich".

STORY MODE POKEMON:

"B" Magnemite: The Steel-Type Magnemite has a great defense and an even better form of attacks! Combine "Metal Sound" with "Thundershock" to do up to triple damage! PP however, could use a little boost.

"D" Absol: At first, Absol is pretty useful. Sure, you might think having a Dark-Type Pokemon is fun, but Absol has little attack power, and even less defense. You have to get damage on enimies using thrown items and moves, which have very low PP.

"F" Smeargle: Awful. Just plain awful. Until you complete Story Mode by deafeting Raquaza, Smeargle won't be able to get any moves with "Sketch" because he uses it before the oppinent uses a move! Then, he'll start to use "Struggle" non-stop, and before you go five floors into the dungeon, he'll have killed himself! If that wasn't bad enough, while you and your partner are level 27 or so at the time, Smeargle starts out at level... 5. Although I must say, the flag is a nice touch.

I'll be back with more Pokemon later!
