Here is a checklist type thing for Firered and Leafgreen, it tells you what to do and when if you get "lost" in the games... 1 Pallet town- Get Pokemon from prof. Oak.

2 Viridian City- Get "Oak's Parcel" at pokemart.

3 Pallet town- Return the parcel to oak and get pokedex and pokeballs(x5).

4 Pallet town- Get "town map" for rivals sister.

5 Viridian city- Get teachy tv from old guy.

6 Route22- beat rival (he has 2pokemon both lv9) YOU CAN SKIP THIS STEP IF YOU WANT TO!!! Just go to the next step.

7 Pewter city- Beat Brock and get badgeand TM39 (brock has 2pkmn lv12 and 14).

8 Pewter city- get running shoes from assistant.

9 Mt. Moon- Beat researcher and take fossil (Dome on left Helix on right).

10 Cerulean city- Beat rival + get fame checker from him (4pkmn lv18, 15,15,and 18 again).

11 Route25- Help bill +get ss ticket.

12 Cerulean city- beat misty, get badge and TM03 (2pkmn lv18 and 21).

13 Cerulean city- beat team rocket +get TM28.

14 Vermillion city- get vs seeker from girl in pokecenter.

15 Vermillion city- get old rod from fisherman .

16 Vermillion city- get bike voucher from fan club pres..

17 Cerulean city- Swap voucher for bike.

18 S.S. Anne- Beat rival again.

19 S.S. Anne- get HM01 from captain.

20 Vermillion city- .
