If anyone wants a kanto or johto Pokemon you should do this.

1. Get a Leaf Green or Fire Red version.

2. Get your old GBA, or if you don't have one borrow a friends.

3. Get a GBA compatible Link Cable.

4. Catch the Pokemon that you want on Emerald on Leaf Green/ Fire Red.

5. Trade the Pokemon over and walah!

I traded an Eevee and evolved it into an Espeon, I also got a Dragonite, Gengar, Misdreaveous and lots of others. You should try it for your ultimate team.
