After you have given the letter to Kanie you get a Tinpet. There is a way to get the second one. After the air Medabot takes you back upstream read the sign near where you fell in the river. Tell him you want to go downstream. Go to Kanie's house. Talk to her to get $1 for the $1 you used coming to see her. Talk to the Medabot in her house. Open the other box.

When you are in Mt. Odoro a sea Medabot will take you to a small island. Open all the boxs and in one of them a Ninja will appear. Press A on the box again to get the Jellyfish Medal.
After you beat the Rubberrobo in the old factory (The place with the guy that has Foxuno when you are wearing the skirt) walk to the box at the top left and press A.
You get a Tortoise Medal.
