The following features are enabled by either completing the game or collecting the indicated items or both.

Unlock Time Attack Mode:

Complete the game with DK.

Unlock Diddy Mode:

Complete the game with DK and with 24 medals.

Unlock Bubbles as a Playable Character:

Complete the game with Diddy and with 24 medals.

Unlock Kremling as a Playable Character:

Complete Jungle Jam with 6 Gold medals.

Unlock King K. Rool as a Playable Character:

Complete Jungle Jam with 12 gold medals.

Play as Wrinkly Kong's Ghost:

With DK collect 20 Crystal Coconuts.
