After you beat Maxim(real) in any castle and unlocked Boss Rush Mode, when you see the Konami Logo at the beginning, hurry and hit up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,B,A,Start. If you do this right, the sky at the title should be blue instead of magenta. Go to Boss Rush Mode on any difficulty and you are now Simon Belmont.

Simon Belmont Pros-Higher Attack

Simon Belmont Cons-Less Distance, Fewer subweapons, slower, can't slide.

Anyways, you'll like him. If you beat Boss Rush on hard with Simon, at the title screen the castle will fade in a few seconds and say Simon "Belmondo" Forever. Enjoy. Also he's bout level 80. Juste is bout level 55.
