Two is As Good As OneAdded 14 Jul 2009, ID #12837
Anyone who has played the first Breath of Fire knows that it's overall a good game. But, how could a sequel possibly measure up tp the original? Play the game and you'll see. QWhen I first played the game, as an assignment for work, I truthfully didn't think it would catch my interest, but as I put down the game for the last time, I was in tears.
The game was beautiful.
From the very start, as the boy loses his family, it shows the true emotions that will be revealed as you play. The music is even sweet. At one point in the game, I would just set the game down and listen to the music. Some tracks are even on my MP3 Player.
My siser would love to watch me play it, and see what the story would go to say next. I was surprised by how many serious moments actually occured.
Friendship was a key point in the story, as was a slight hint of love.
The game was challenging, but understandable. The only issue I actually had with the game was the neverending battles, and the one boss who took me forever to beat. It was so frustrating, that it actually took me a few months to pick up the game again, but I was luckily almost done, so it didn't matter too much. Another thing that is kind of a let down is the fact that it's a one play game.
With that, I mean that you'll play the game once, and the next time it'll be thrilling to play again would probably take about ten years.

Though that may happen, every scene in the game makes up for it. The player is responsivle for making choices for various problems, which effect your friend's friendship towards you, which will effect the ending. The first ending I ever got put tears in my eyes, and later I figured out that one would make me smile.
But I really didn't care. It's one of the best games I've ever played, and I would never complain about it. Through it, I actually learned how much friendship actually means to someone. That may sound cheesy, but it really does upset me of how much this game is unknown and/or taken for granted. I recommend it for those 12 and up, partly because a younger audience wouldn't get the same effect from the story.

Overall, this game is excellent, and you should give it a chance/try.
I'm sure, you'll be satisfyed in the end.
