Introduction				  [INTR]
o===============================================================================o

Pokemon Red and Blue were the start of the best selling game franchise ever, even
greater than the Super Bros. Franchise. It Orgintaed from an anime, by the name
of pokemon (Obvisously...) which followed the story of a young boy called Ash who
traveled his Continent (And later the world) collecting monsters called Pocket
Monsters, hence the shortened name, Pokemon.

The game gave game people everywhere the chance to step into a the shoes of a
person not much different from Ash/ It follows your quest to become a Pokemon
Master and to collect all Pokemon, which is impossible unless you have both
versions of the game, Red and Blue.

o===============================================================================o

To be honest, I really don't think that you need a guide to get you through this
part of the game. All it is a prequel to the game. Here all you need to do is
name your character and your rival. After that you gain control of you character
and can finally start playing.

o===============================================================================o

Complete your first battle

			Available Pokemon
o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Bulbasaur
Charmander
Squirtle
o===============================================================================o

Once you gain control of your character you should head to the north eastern
corner of the room and exit down the stairs. When your down here you should talk
to your mother. She tells you that Prof. Oak is lookin for you next door. So
head south down on the door mat and leave the building.

Go east and into the building there. Talk to your rivals sister and she will
tell you that Prof. oak and your rival are at the lab. So head out of the house
and go south to the large building there. When your in the building head to the
north of the room and talk to your rival there. He tells you that Prof. Oak
isn't there.

Since Prof. Oak is no where to be found, head back into the town. Head to the
far north of the town and go into the grass. As you do Prof. Oak will finally
appear and stop you, telling you that it's not safe to go into the tall grass.

After automatically following Prof. Oak back to his Lab, a cutscene will occur.
Read the convosation that happens here. You can now choose your first Pokemon.
Think carefully, because this is the only place, apart from trading and cheat
codes, that you can get these Pokemon. Here are some pointers for early on in
the game which you might want to think about.

Bulbasaur - Plant - Can beat the first two Gym leaders pretty easily.
Charmander - Fire - Takes some training to beat Brock, and gets owned by Misty
Squitle - Water - Beats Brock extremely easily, on even grounds with Misty

Despite his disadvantages, I choose to use Charmander, due to the fact that when
you fully elvole him into Charizard, he will kick the ass of any Pokemon in your
way.

Ok so thats two out three tasks completed. The final task is to win a battle.
This is provided by your rival. When you attempt to leave the Lab, he will
challenge you. This battle is an easy one. If you win then your Pokemon will
level up.

o===============================================================================o

Well done, you just finished your first battle. No matter the result of the
battle, you will progress. Be careful though, if you lose in the future, you
will be sent back to the closest pokemon center.

So after the battle you can finally leave this town behind and progrees on to the
next. If your Pokemon get really hurt return home and Mom will heal your
pokemon. Head north to the grass that Prof. Oak stopped you in before.

o===============================================================================o

Now we are finaly on the way to the next town. Here you will be randomly
attacked by Wild Pokemon while your are in the grass. Don't worry though, the
Pokemon here are weak. Its also an idea not to over train just yet, as you could
kill the wild Pokemon in one hit, which means you can't catch them.

First of all you need to head to the west until you see an opening that you can
go up. There should be a guy in the opening here. If you talk to him he will
give you a free potion. Sadly its the last one in the PokeMart in the new city
that we will soon be at.

After talking to the guy head east into the next patch of grass and then head
north to the next clearing. Here you will see some steps to the west. Head up
these into the next clearing. Head west here and then north through the two
patches of grass here. You should then see a passage north, take this and you
will be in the next city.

o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Head North out of town
Visit the PokeMart
o===============================================================================o

Welcome to Virdian City, the home of the first Gym that you will encounter.
First thinh that you should do is to go to the Pokemon Center and heal your
Pokemon. This is the typical thing to do after you arrive to a new town/city.

After your fully healed, head to the very north of the City. You should see a
guy laying on the floor here. If you try to get past you, he'll stop you. What
a twat. So the only way to go is west. So head south and then west. When you
get a chance, go north. There is a smaller tree here (One that you can cut down
later on in the game). If you press A next to it, you'll find a potion, nice!
We'll check out the west of this point later on.

Now to the North East of the Pokemon Center you will find the PokeMart. You need
to go in here and talk to the guy behind the counter. he will tell you that you
have to take the package to Prof. Oak. Back to pallet town!

On the way back, if you want to keep away from fights, head to the west and drop
of the ledges. This will get you back home faster and will also ensure that your
Pokemon is not to powerful to catch new ones.

o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Visit Prof. Oak
Get a World Map
o===============================================================================o

Wwelcome home. Remember to heal at your Moms houes if you battled on the way
bacl here. When you've done this you should go see Prof. Oak in his Lab. While
talking to him your rival will rudely interrupt you. After the convosation you
will be given a Pokedex. Now you can finally start catching willd Pokemon and
add them to your party.

You remember where your rivals house is? Well go there and talk to his sister.
She will give you World map. You can now see where everywhere is. Coolio.
When you have this, I guess it's time to return back to Virdian City, after all
it is the only place that you can go.

Head West out of the City

o===============================================================================o

So we can finally catch pokemon, but how do we do it? Well first thing first,
head to the PokeMart and stock up on Pokeballs. If you don't know how to catch
Pokemon, head up to the north and talk to the guy who wouldn't let you past. If
you do then it's nearly hunting time.

Head north past the guy who wouldn't let you past and you'll see a cut eas with a
big building there. It's the first Gym that you will see. Sadly the doors on it
are locked. So now its time to catch some Pokemon. Here's my list of what to
catch around here:

Pidgey - Route 1
Nidoran M - Route 22
Spearow - Route 22

Spearow
Rattata
Nidoran M
Nidoran F (Appear to be Rare)
Pond Pokemon (Update Later)
o===============================================================================o

This is an optional place to go, but I think that its a great place to train up.
Stay in the grass area here until you have at least two pokemon at level 8. When
you have accoplished this head allong the path in the north to battle against
your rival again.

Pokemon: Pidgey Lvl 9
        Starter Pokemon Lvl 8
o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Stratergy:
This battle is a bit tougher than the last one against him. He'll use a Pidgey
as his opening pokemon. Its a bad Idea to use a Bird pokemon Against it as the
attacks will be less effective against it. The next Pokemon will be his
starting Pokemon. Since your starting will be weak against its elemental
attacks, use a different Pokemon Against it.

o===============================================================================o
			Available Pokemon
o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Pidgey
Rattata
o===============================================================================o

This is a pretty simple route. All you need to do here is to follow the path
around and enter the building at the north of the path.

o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Catapie
Metapod
Weedle
Kakuna
Pikachu
o===============================================================================o

Viridian Forest is your very first Dungeon. Hopefully you have some flying type
pokemon, as this place is full of Insect type pokemon. If you want any pokemon
here, make sure that you catch Catapie or Weedle instead of Metapod or Kakuna
as this will complete more of you pokedex and make them easier to train. Also
a definate recomendation for anyone who didn't choose Bulbasaur, Catch a Pikachu.

First thing that you should do is head: West, North, West amd pick up the
Pokeball laying about on the floor. The next thing that you should do is to head
back to teh enterance and then carry on east until you can head north. As you
do yuo will encouter a couple of trainers. Thankfully they aren't that tough.
Of you follow this path straight up north then you will find an antidote on the
floor, which will come in handy later, when you pokemon get poisoned. From here
you need to head west and then to the south. Keep on following this path until
you have a chance to go west and east, first head east and grab the potion, then
follow the West path and fight teh final trainer here. After defeating them head
to the north and exit the forest. nOw your on Route 2 again. Exit the ROute in
the north east and enter the next town.

Get the First Badge
o===============================================================================o

Now its time to get your first pokemon League Badge. But first of all you need
to heal your pokemon. I recomend that you have A Bulbasuar that knows Vine Whip
and Leech seed, A squirtle that knows Water Gun and Bubble, or a Butterfree that
knows Confusion. If you don't have any of these, you should have a couple of
Pokemon at level 10+ by now.

So after healing you need to head North, West, South then East, Going as far as
possible with out hopping down on the ledges or going up any steps. Now you
should see the enterance to the Gym. Head through there. You now have two
options, either head striaght up and get more money and EXP or head behind the
trainer. If you fight him, make sure that your fully healed before you fight
Brock.

O===============================================================================o
			    Battle: Brock
o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Pokemon: Geodude Lvl
|	  Onix Lvl
o-------------------------------------------------------------------------------o
Stratergy:
Hopefully you listened to my advice and have one of the three pokemone that I
recommended above. Geodude is really easy fight. All that he will do is
attack you with Tackle or boost its defense with Rock Curl. All you need to do
is attack relentlessly. THe next Pokemon, Onix, is a little tougher. Onix
Uses an attack called Bide, which takes the damage that you gave it, doubles it
and sends it back at you. Teh best thing to do here is to either kill it fast
or to use defenseive moves such as Growl or Tail whip, that way you won't take
any damage.
