Why can't I catch moltres and zapdos?

Question for Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition
Why can't I catch moltres and zapdos? I caught articuno with a master ball, but I can't seem to catch the others. Whenever I throw a pokeball of any kind, I always miss.

The way I caught Zapdos was by weakening it until it was on red health and poisond it,then I used an Ultraball and walla!!

O.K. You should have saved you're masterball for mewtwo.This is what you should do now since you wasted your masterball.
First go to Moltres, stand in front of him and save the game.( Before you do this have Pokemon that can put others to sleep, paralyze others, or burn them)Also remember to buy 50 ultraballs(only if you have a lot of money)
After that do the same with Zapdos.

You can catch Zapos an Motres, they are only hard to catch.
First weaken it. Second put them to sleep. Then lower their stats (def. , att. , accuaracy) After that use Ultra Ball. It may take a few balls (10 or so), but then yu must have caught it.
Note: make sure that it is still asleep while using Your Ultra ball

I have caught Articuno and Zapdos easily. I saved before fighting them, and I only had 3 ultra balls when I caught Zapdos. All I needed was 1 though to catch her. Articuno was even easier. I used pigeot to capture both of them. Moltres is being a butt-hole though. I've tried to catch her but the ultra ball keeps missing. I think I've thrown about 20 of them and nothing happened. On fire Red I have all the legendaries though, and all I needed was one try to catch moltres there. It was easy peasy. Buit on the yellow... Yeah, I don't know yet. You can't burn zapdos, so Your best bet is to freeze it.
