Question for Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition

Hehe, I need a weeny bit of help...

(^.^;) I can't get to Lt. Surge, I can't figure out the switch patterns. The guy said they were right next to each other, but that didn't help.

I've nearly wasted two loads of rechargable batteries.

Ok, technically they are right next to each. This doesn't necessarily mean however that they are RIGHT next to each other. Th other switch is usually above the first switch found but sometimes it's not. It can be below the first switch, or to the left or right of the switch. You must guess, as the switches change positions for every wrong answer.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the switch patterns are placed randomly around Lt. Surge's Gym. Each time you mess up, the switches change their location to another rubbish bin. The only way to find them is luck. It's not so hard though, when you find the first switch you know the secong switch is either above, below, to the left or to the right of the bin.

Hope that helps you.

You could use the search pattern, as an example. Start at the bottom right hand corner and check each of the bins going a left and then up a row and then right and etc. Pattern and when you find the first one use one of the bins that is right next to the first one that you have not used. try this several times and if you are not successfull, save your game and turn it off and do something else to get your mind off of the game and come back to it later (about an hour should do it)
I did this for blue and red to and it worked

hope this helps and good luck!

Actually, the switches are side by side. Once you find one switch, the other one is to the right of it. I am very sure of it. I have restarted my red version and my spare yellow version many times, and each time is no different.
