When I try to go to saffron city some guy says I'm on guard duty. Gee, I'm thirsty though! Oh, wait there, the road's closed. How do I make him let me pass help me plz

You have to go to Celadon city, go into the big pokemart, go upto the very top, buy a drink, and then give it to the guard.

The guard will now move, as well as any other guards blocking your path.

Youneed to go to the top of Celadon's Market and buy a drink. then walk through the gate and give the guard the drink. This will open all the paths to Saffron.

Go to cedlon city and go to the top floor of the store go to the vending machene and press a when the menu pops up buy one and go to the gard.

You can buy a lemonade, fresh water, and soda pop from celadon city market at the top floor from the vending machines, then you can give them your beverage and you can pass into saffron city. Train hard.
