How do I catch a ghost in Pokemon tower not identified?

Go to celadon game corner and battle a rocket grunt inside there...then read some poster and stairs will come out...beat the Rockets there including Giovani...after beating him..he will give you a Silph.Co...now you can see the ghost in the Lavender Pokemon Tower

Note: you can have Ghost type Pokemon, but not Ghosts themselves. Once you get Silph Scope then you can identify then and then you can capture them. You can get ghost types like Ghastly and Haunter. Trust me. I've played this game over and over and you cannot and I mean cannot capture ghosts themselves, but you can capture Ghost Types. You can still get the Diploman when you've completed the Pokedex even without Ghosts.

YOU CAN NEVER catch it even if you do your game will be messed up the whole thing will be DESTROYED but ther is an exeption once the game is reset you can keep GHOST LV. 20 all he knows is curse if used on a Pokemon the screen will turn black you'll hear a Pokemon cry once you killed the Pokemon you also get to KILL THE TRAINER he will then turn into a tombstone it's what you call CREEPY BLACK VERSION

Dead marowak you can catch cubone around lavander town and just evolve it better to do that than catch it at lvl 30

Idk but I know a lvl 100 glitch. First, you go to Pewter city and try not to fight any trainers. Then buy 2 escape ropes. Go back to Viridian forest. You will see a trianer lookeing to the right. Go to the very right, walk one step to the left and quickly go use the escape rope (you will be back in pewter). Go back and fight a lvl 4 caterpie, using growl six times. Go into pewter again and try to leave where the guy is standing. He will bring you to the gym, then go back to forest, and someone will ask you if you have a Pikachu. Then is will be voltorb, nidoking, etc. It will have tons of exp. Then you want to catch it and use it in a battle whee it will gain under 55 exp (swith him out in a battle with a caterpie). When you win, he will be lvl 100!! Hops I helped

You cannot catch the ghosts, but you can catch ghost TYPE Pokemon. Unfortunatly, unless you cloned it, the master ball is now gone. To catch Pokemon in the tower, you must first obtain the siph scope. You get the silph scope by defeating Giovvani in, I think, the large building that has a sign that says something about silph. Once you have obtained the silph scope the ghosts will be shown as ghost type Pokemon.

I caught the ghost Pokemon with 1 pokeball without weakenng it or having the silph scope.

Its a marowak and you need to get the scope

You simply can't capture it. It is a ghost of of Marrowwak or Cubone.
