To capture ho-ho

Just use the master ball straight up because it never and I mean never fails and don't worry about attacking.

Here's what you should do:
Duplication
1)Go to PokeCenter and give masterball to any pokemon.
2)Switch to a box with no pokemon.
3)Deposit Pokemon with the masterball.
4)Switch to another box.
5)When it says "Saving, Do Not Turn Off Power", turn off the game.
6)Turn on and get the pokemon.
Then go battle Ho-Oh and use a masterball. You should have one left over if you did the duplication cheat correctly.

It might help if you messed-up Ho-oh's status condietion and if you had a nice level 70 Pokemon yourself. Unless you are looking to catch all of the legendary dogs, use your Master Ball now.

First of all, youre using too weak a Pokemon (no offense)to be battling a lv70 ho-oh. If you don't want to use your masterball(which even I didnt use)i suggest going and getting at least 25 ultra balls, andgetting your party in the levels around 70-75. I used a: Feraligatr, lv74,lugia, lv69, gyarados, lv37(which never came into battle)and a couple lower level Pokemon never used.i caught ho-oh with an ultra ball, and it never even got past my feraligatr.

I remember freezing Ho oh and I caught it with a POKEBALL. You should try freezing him, but I warn you,it wont be so easy to freeze him.
