Question for Pokemon Red
Problem with the Card Key : So I got the Card Key in the Silph Company place, but it's not allowing me to open any of the doors, or what I think to be locked doors. When I try, it just says Oak: This is not the time to use that!
What is wrong, or what doors can I only open? Please and thank you!

If you are using it in the battle, then you are using it in the wrong place, wrong time.
However if you use it on your way to getting on the next floor, then you are at the right place.

Actually the card key shouldnt be used during battles, but if you use it to unlock the doors on your way to find the boss, then you are on track.

Yeah, it unlocks the Locked Doors. Just press A on front of the Door and you should be able to use it. If it doesn't unlock, your game is glitched.

Press A on the small walls and you should be able to walk through no problem

I have the same problem it only opened one door I found and it wasn't useful

Just walk towards the door and press A. Do not go through your items list to access card key. It will say "Bingo! The CARD KEY opened the door!"

You guys obviously misunderstood op. He never said he used it in battle. You don't go to items to use it. You just press a.
