You have to use Pokemon Bank. It lets you store Pokemon on 3ds

That's not working for me :/ pokebank isn't registering the downloaded versions of red blue yellow. Any other ideas?

I heard that if you change your name to vvrryy (leave first spot blank and the name may be wrong ) and do the glitch to find missing no you can get the starters

you have to time the saving glitch right. Start a new game, pick a starter, save the game. Restart the system and choose new game. Go through the intro again and once you can save, save the game and shut it down after a few seconds (it takes trial and error - too quick = corrupt save file. too late = erased previous starter that was saved). If you did it right, youll start the game with your original starter and youll be able to select a second one. If you get the timing down, repeat it a third time and you will have all 3. Did it multiple times on my 3DS red version. Best of luck.

Just Trade Pokemon from Pokemon Yellow or Pokemon Blue.

Guest answered:

Get your first starter Trade it to a friend for a pidgey or something easy to catch. Then start a new game get the other starter then repeat step one. Get final starter repeat step one. Get three easy to catch Pokemon e.g pidgey x3 and trade the three starters your friend has for the three pidgeys you have and there you go all three starters

Just shut up about trading! 9 times out of 10 the people searching this are looking for a bypass from trading
Guest answered:

So it's complicated, save before oak pulls you into his lab then you get you're first Pokemon and after you beat you're Rival go and get the pokedex and after you receive the pokedex go and catch 2 pokemon. Then put you're starter and another Pokemon in the PC, then go to the option change boxes and select 2 when it displays all of saving.. Turn off the power do the steps but get a new starter and you don't have to catch another, go to virdan city and voila the other starter is in there, then put your other starter in and save, and repeat the steps, it also works in gold and silver.

Guest said: 16th Aug 2016 | REPORT
Does this also work for other pokemon like mewtwo?
Guest said: 4th Apr 2017 | REPORT
That only works with Pokemon Yellow!
Guest said: 5th Mar 2018 | REPORT
It works on silver
Guest answered:

If using a 3DS, The Pokè Transporter can be used to transfer between older Pokemon games(I.e. Red, Blue). If you have two games, simply make a file on the second game, get a starter you don't have, transfer it, repeat for the next starter.
